I agree these people exist. There is a difference, though, between being an elitist ass who looks down on show-only fans and simply discussing things in the books that came out years ago that haven't shown up on the show yet. You can't expect book readers not to talk about the books. If they are going into posts labeled show-only and doing that, it is a dick move. Otherwise, it is on the show-only people to avoid discussions that involve book people if they don't want to be spoiled.

I'm not talking about discussions, I'm talking about people who deliberately go out of their way to spoil things.

Are there really that many? I haven't seen many more than any other fandom. I've only seen the usual type of trolls doing that, not the general fandom.

In my experience they are especially obnoxious and/or numerous in this fandom. Tolkien fandom has similar entitlements, but seems to go less out of its way for it.

I suppose it depends on which community, too, but GoT is basically the worst I came across, ever.
