Oh, yes. I have a really nice beef stew crock pot recipe. Next week I'm going to make my meaty lentil soup (I call it my meaty soup because it has ham, bacon, and beef bullion in it and is not at all for the vegetarian).

I'd suggest adding a bit more water than the recipe calls for. It has a tendency to not have enough liquid, especially if it is cooked in a slow cooker. I always add at least an extra cup of water.

Oh, me too. That's why I do a lot of slow cooker things. You can just throw the ingredients together, and it is harder to ruin (though I often still manage).
