There's one person in my fandom who does this all the time, but it's obvious to anyone who's paying attention that she's basically trolling for people to rec her fanworks in return. It makes me squirm with embarrassment for her.

It doesn't usually work though. I can't figure out whether it's because people hate to be strong-armed into feedback, or they're just oblivious to the dropped hints. (The latter wouldn't surprise me.)
