But also wanted to comment - if OP actually says yes to the question on whether they feel as bad about killing other stuff like vermin / plants / rats and so on as they would about killing something that's cute and fuzzy that OP probably has other issues beyond just caring about stuff and that it sounds more like it's a problem on their end about being able to handle stress. Like, less of a 'help OP to understand other people's views' and more of a 'whoa OP might need therapy if this is how badly they deal with normal life' kind of thing.
