That person was at least upset over seeing an actual dying mouse instead of getting upset over TV commercials. You're making a lot of "omg this means I'm crazy right?" comments, but deep down, you don't really mean it. Your defensiveness over your extreme reaction to the idea that every living thing eventually dies and your demonisation of anyone who doesn't react the exact same way as you do suggests that actually, you think you're the moral, sensitive one and everyone else is an unfeeling bastard who is too soulless to see what's really true.
That's one method to cope with the situation, but it's not a good one. Especially because it isn't working, you're getting way more upset over this than is warranted. The giveaway is that this is actually damaging your quality of life. That means that something's not right, and you need to talk to your doctor and perhaps consider therapy.
