I don't care if you liked her performance or not, but the rest of your comment is problematic as hell. However I'm going to give you benefit of the doubt and assume by your comment here that you are unaware that body image issues effect women far more than they effect men due to the sexist patriarchal culture we live in. I'm going to assume that you are unaware that the way a woman looks has historically been cause to treat her badly, blame her for things like rape, assault and harassment in ways that men almost never have to deal with. I'm going to assume that you are unaware that the number of young girls receiving breast implants and other body modifications is significantly disproportionately high in comparison to the number of young men doing the same, because young girls are conditioned practically from birth to believe that their sole worth and value as human beings comes down to what they look like and whether or not some man(such as yourself) is turned on by their appearance. I'm also going to assume that you are unaware that the number of female actors cast specifically for their looks or to be as you call it "eye candy" with very little other in-depth importance to the story they are part of, as well as the pressures placed on women in Hollywood to be as perfect and as appealing to men as possible, is much higher than that of male actors put in the same position. But you're right, your dissatisfaction with Ms. Saldana's body type and how much she doesn't turn you on, should totally factor into her being worthy of a role or not, and is totally equal to some women in the community discussing the looks of the male actors.
