Bullies usually have no trouble at all forgetting the fact that they bullied somebody
(Anonymous) 2014-11-01 05:59 am (UTC)(link)It does not work that way, however, with somebody who was bullied, you see.
Why are you so upset that some people refuse to stop calling a spade a spade, again?

(Anonymous) 2014-11-01 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)In fact, I was bullied a good deal as a child, but nice job jumping to conclusions.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-01 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)Stuff it. If we don't talk about it, if we don't talk about how we survived to be remotely functional, then nothing is ever fucking done.
That's not "wearing victimhood like a badge of honor." That's "wearing the fact you survived as a badge of honor."
But hey, I was nearly beaten to death, so obviously my voice means nothing since I'm just ~being a victim~.
+1

(Anonymous) 2014-11-02 03:07 am (UTC)(link)You know how much time your bully spends thinking about you now? None. Zero. Nada. He/she doesn't even remember your name. I know that burns, but it's true. They don't think about you. At all. If someone else brings you up they say "who? Oh, that geek? Whatever happened to them?" That's it. Yet you continue to let them rent space in your head. Get therapy. Read self-help books. Do whatever you need to do, but get over it already.
No one else gives a shit that your teen years were shitty. They only care that you're trying to use it as an excuse to be a shitty person now.
