Does someone here have an icon of this character? It looks so familiar.

He's Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

As much as I agree KHR could have been better and I think the ending was awful, all the people I have seen saying pretty much the same thing are people who just wanted for it to be darker and edgier. I wonder if OP would have wanted the same...

There were some things in the series that were actually pretty messed up, or at least implied to be: Mukuro and Chrome, for instance. I felt in cases like that, it would've been better if it had just been darker.

Most of my problems were that there were a lot of interesting character ideas with a lot of interesting backstories and interesting motivations, but they were never explored and only really seemed to exist as a reason to get the relevant characters into the story, or to make them memorable, and then everything just sort of felt flat and they were shunted off to the side.

Honestly, the only thing that upset me was the fact that Tsuna never knew that adult!Reborn was Reborn. And he was that dumb. Oh well.

I feel like I'm one of the few people who liked the ending. It wasn't deep or amazing or anything, but it was nice how it kept to the rebirth theme one last time by taking the series back to its spiritual beginnings and being the light-hearted comedy that Amano originally wanted to write. It really felt like she got to end the series on her own terms and it was a nice bit of nostalgia for anyone who didn't just put up with the Daily Life arc to get to the Varia arc. The story might have gone to different, more interesting places under someone else's pen, but I doubt that the characters would have had the same charm and the characters were the best thing about the series.

...aaand I just realized OP's secret didn't talk about the ending being awful. My mistake.
