It's part of their necessary character development. First they lost their father figure and then they got a home of their own. It's like they're finally growing up, and I like that.

now if they would only have friends beside each other and stop being so damn co-dependent

Complete and utter speculation but if they ever start an arc where the brothers successfully let go of one another then they'll finally and forever unlock the gates of heaven and walk through them.

I totally understand where OP's coming from, but the idea that these two finally have a home after so long is pretty gratifying.

Maybe don't think about it in terms of the actual bricks and mortar, OP, but in a more figurative "somewhere to come back to" way?
