IA with you and the anon above, too. The first episode was promising - I remember being very enthusiastic about it. Told all my friends about this new and exciting Sherlock Holmes thing *sighs*

I've no patience for Elementary's take on Moriarty (boo evil villain who can do everything and takes up 500% of plotlines!). And Holmes being in love with Irene - meh. I'm still waiting for a modern adaptation with an actually aromantic-asexual Holmes. But no, apparently it's "boring".

Oh, I feel you there. I really, really, do not like the idea of Holmes being in love with Irene Adler. He respects and admires her because she beat him -- that doesn't mean he's interested in her. It's as if people can't fathom a man admiring a woman without also wanting her, which is incredibly frustrating.

And the whole "boring" thing is so much BS, because goodness, romance isn't the only thing in fiction that's interesting!
