Agents of SHIELD. I like the Marvel movies. Don't really care about Coulson either way. But, I know that some stuff that happens in the show affects the MCU? Also, I hear there is a lot of whump/woobie stuff centered around the character Grant (who I think si good looking). And I am all for a good woobie.

I watched the first half of Season 1 and didn't think it paid off. It took too long to get to any points. I have friends who swear by it but I thought it picked up after the first few episodes and then lost steam around episode 14.

Depends on your patience levels. The first half or so of S1 is pretty bland. Once it gets the latter half of the season (once The Winter Soldier came out, basically) it gets pretty good, and S2's been a big improvement so far.

It starts of bad, then becomes bland, finally screws up the ending, then S2 happens and it starts off kinda dull...

It's a pretty generic spy story, like NCIS but with even more egregious violations of law and civil liberties and without the familiarity you have with the NCIS characters or Mark Harmon's charm to distract you.

I like it, but it starts off a bit sub-par. It was a bit like with Fringe - sort of had to "get through" the first few episodes to get to the better stuff.
