I'll chime in as another one who's been underwhelmed by JMS's comics work but loved Babylon 5. It's not a perfect show, but it's much more impressive than his comic ouevre -- whether because it plays to his strengths or because he's better at writing his own characters and universes or because his views have changed over the course of his life, I don't know. But I wouldn't let the Thor run put you off JMS's TV work.
