I agree with this. Although, I actually have a problem with what Emma did because I think in the context of time travel, changing the past is wrong because people could die as a result of what you did and Emma had no way of knowing what consequences would result from her actions.

This is a good essay on how I feel about Emma and about her rescuing Marian: http://ctrent29.livejournal.com/186935.html#cutid1

That being said, Regina is still awful and Lana goes out of her way to excuse her. And I don't buy the "in-character" excuse, and an actor sympathizing with their character to get into the role only goes so far.

Regina didn't care that Emma had brought someone back from the past until it was revealed that it was Robin's dead wife. Then she suddenly had a problem with Emma messing with magic and time travel. (Pretty rich coming from Regina.)

Lana fans the Marian flames, even while the actress playing Marian gets shit for merely existing from some seriously disturbed fans. She shouldn't be pandering to the nutjobs.

I completely agree. My feelings on Emma's actions have nothing to do with Regina. Regina only cares about Regina (and sometimes Henry when it suits the story).
