I don't watch that show, but I agree. Like, I love the POSSIBILITY and the writers never do it justice, IMO.

Plus it closes off a lot of fic fun for me. I like stories about realizing the characters are in love or being trapped together or first kisses. If canon does that, waaaaaaaah.

I feel this way about slash AND het ships, so.

I agree with this.

It sounds contradictory but the fastest way to turn me off a ship is to actually make it canon. Then it becomes canon's interpretation of their first kiss, etc. and there's no room to play with those scenarios.
