That is a little unfair, her other books have been moderately successful in their genres and moreso than most (even the book she tried to keep associated with her name did okay before she was outed). They just haven't caught the zeitgeist the way her Potter stories did, but arguably, nothing anyone else has done has either. The closest we've come to the all-consuming passion of Potter is the MCU-phase2, and even then...

The Casual Vacancy did very well, but then it was under her own name. The Cuckoo's Calling, which was published under a pseudonym, was not even close to being "moderately successful". Reports suggest that it sold around 500 copies. It only took off AFTER Rowling was outed.
