Well, this is fandom secrets. People here have - oh noes - strong feeling about fiction and characters.

For the record: I'm not offended people like him. It just irks me incredibly that people explain away all the bad shit he did by his past, and then excuse it. MCU fandom already has a tendency to do this, which bothers me in general, but I find it especially bothersome with Ward because of reasons I mentioned.
