I think it is one of those things you love our you don't. I signed up thinking I'd play it for a few days, get bored, and leave. Only I got really, really hooked. To the point that for a little while it was getting in the way of sleep and RL.

Same here. Even if I forget to do literally everything I need to do in a day, I will remember to feed my clan, do my daily gathering, and pampering of familiars.

My life is in shambles, but my clan is amazing!

Those are the first things I do when I wake up in the morning now, plus incubating if I have active nests and then trading post stuff. Before I shower or dress or brush my teeth. priorities, right?

Yep, this is me. I made an account during the last open period, "just to see what it's like", now I'm obsessively checking the site endlessly.

I should have known, 12 years ago I made an account on Neopets "just to see what it's like" and played daily for ten years...

Neopets was one of those sites I signed up for briefly and then left. For me it is the combination of the fact that it is dragons that come in all sorts of pretty types (I'm already obsessed with dragons) and the coliseum, which I've somehow gotten the hang of really quickly. Just something about this site clicks for me. This type of site usually doesn't at all.

Yeah, I spend hours on the coliseum. I'm planning for a couple 25s so I can PL stuff to 7 to exalt easier. Not to mention farming! It just takes so long (level 15 now).

The breeding part is great, but it's such a small chunk of time.

I've got 3 level 25s right now, so I've done a lot of train to 7-10 and exalt. Fairly easy way to make treasure. I haven't had as much luck with farming. I never seem to get the more valuable stuff.

Based on what I've read, it's the trash you're after, not the high end stuff. By selling it all for the default price, supposedly you make 50-60K/hour. (I do wonder how much of an exaggeration that might be though.)

Really? I've never been able to sell any of it in the auction house. And getting the default price can get some money, but I've never been able to get nearly that much. It seems to me that more money is made by training and exalting dragons.

Training and exalting is how I plan to go, but the guides say farming is better. But yeah, they say to just sell it at the default price, so you don't have to slow down by listing things at the AH. I'm not really sure I believe one can kill fast enough to make farming worth it though. Even if you one-shot each mob, the animation really slows down the time (at least on my system, who knows if I'm laggy).

Well, I think that maybe if you are farming at really low levels where you can one-shot things, maybe it would work. I've been working in the mire since it is the best level for training, and the foes there are all two shot.

Yeah, to one-shot the level 25 stuff, you have to use a special build. Almost all strength, with a touch of quick (so you go first and can one-shot them before they can hit you) and a little vit (I guess in case they hit?).

I'll be interested to get to 25 so I can see if there's truth in it. It's going to take a while though. 10 more levels to go!
