regrettably, I'm the same as anon up above. I've heard great things about OP, but I'm just not willing to invest so much of my life in it... if/when it ends, I'll take a look at how many chapters we're talking about and decide, I think.

The thing is if you decide you don't like it, you can stop reading any time after. And it doesn't take up too much time to follow. People can just read at their own pace. Naruto wasn't exactly short. :P And there are plenty of series that are even longer than One Piece that are still ongoing. When there are people who have read Captain America and Batman comics for decades, I don't really see how this is such a huge investment? I've stopped following it for months at a time because of rl events taking up time away from all of my hobbies. When I have time I go back to it and catch up when I want to.

yeah, but if I do like it then I'm stuck, and I am a bit of a completionist... I know a lot of people have no problem following stuff for years and years, but for me there are relatively few series that I can stick with for that long. I just don't want to get invested if I can't invest all the way, you know? I prefer stuff that I know I can read all/most of within the free time frame that I have.
I actually tend to have a preference for completed works, anyway.
