Why is Danish so much like English but so fucking different where it counts? And how the hell do prepositions work? It makes absolutely no sense. Why is it "jeg går på café" but "jeg går i biografen"? French was way less frustrating.

No, it wasn't but it works pretty well! I don't get it either. (If I'm not mistaken, Swedes and Norwegians don't even use the same system.)

Chiming in with a "counting system" rant - Japanese. You use different counters depending on what exactly you're counting. Machinery, cylindrical objects, flat objects, big animals, small animals, books, people... etc. D:
