What do you want to do after college? When are you getting a job? When are you getting married? Why don't you have a boyfriend? =( I dunno mom I'm just a sad little internet troll I don't have my life figured out =(

I feel you. The reason why I dislike these types of questions is because I'm uncomfortable with people's expecations of what I "should" do after college (pursue further education right away, get a "respectable" job, live on my own, etc.) when I'm comfortable with the knowledge of my own decisions at the moment. It's okay that my plans are vague at the moment.

I hate them too, but only because they're ANNOYING. And it feels like some older adults only see me as a "potential" person because I don't have it all figured out yet. But mostly it's annoying. Like, is that the only thing you can think to talk about? I'm sick of it!

(Though lately I've made an exception for the job question; I like it when people ask me about that so I can see if they have any useful leads)

Because obviously you can go out and buy one at the supermarket.
