You are so lucky. I've never been able to live anywhere with my own apple tree. When I was in holiday in the French Pyrénées once, the châteaux we were staying at had this orchard which had star shaped apples. They were awesome, but I never found the variety. I have to haunt the local farmer's markets to get good apples. Most of the supermarket brands are just bland.

The Api Etoile perhaps? My father works as an agricultural scientist so the apples we have come from some sort of scientific trial. So we are very lucky to have them they are basically production quality with the added benefit of not having to transport them very far.
