On one hand I'm glad it's ending, on the other hand... jfc did Kishi borrow from ff.net?
I'm not particularly attached to any ship (except Naruto/Sasuke, but I knew that would obviously not happen) but damn I think I find this worse than the Harry Potter epilogue.

Yeah, I didn't mind NaruHina so much (and I assume the movie will explain it better ... hopefully), but SasuSaku? Just no. I probably like Sasuke better than most people in fandom but damn, Sakura deserved better.

I know. If ever there was someone set to be "forever alone" it was Sasuke; that Sakura never got over him despite all of his bs was infuriating. I just assumed Sasuke would end up on Orochimaru's table in the end (or maybe I just prefer to think that's what happened - I mean, he's still leaving Sakura to take care of things while he fucks off ... but to where?).

The epilogue was weird. I'd agree it's worse than the Harry Potter epilogue. The only thing I liked was NaruHina and their kids, but the random pairings just for the sake of creating new characters for some spinoff felt cheap. Really disappointed about SasuSaku and Sakura too. But that's another story.

I liked all the pairing endgames and even I thought the ending felt too rushed. (Maybe this is the case when the writer has the ending planned out for years? Naruto, Harry Potter, How I Met Your Mother....)

At least Naruto didn't name his son Obito.
