Steve/Tony/Bucky? Ew.

Nah. The rage-sex that came of Tony's smart ass remarks and Bucky's natural 'I'm gonna switch from puppy eyes to murder in a heartbeat' talent would be bed-wrecking.

Weirdly, I can see Steve and Tony in a threesome with Pepper, but not with Bucky. *shrugs* I think that's because I feel like Tony and Bucky would get along too much as friends to really be able to step into a romantic relationship.

I can see Tony/Steve/Bucky in the sense that Tony and Bucky are sharing Steve/Steve is dating both of them and everyone knows it, but I can't really see it with Tony and Bucky being involved with each other along with Steve.

Now that I think about it, though, I really want fic where Steve is dating both of them, and Tony and Bucky can never get into a relationship but are fantastic friends, two smart-ass peas in a pod who compare notes about sex with Steve and drive him up the wall with snark and innuendo, and general conspire together about Steve. :P

Steve and Pepper would have a civilizing effect on Tony, but that wouldn't be as interesting as say, Tony and Bucky getting into a fight while Steve tries to calm them down before getting fed up and putting them in their respective corners.

There's no reason they couldn't both be fantastic friends and worst enemies while being in a threeway with Steve. One minute they're fighting, the next they're teaming up to give Steve grief, then they have hot sex on a king size bed.

Weirdly, most of the OT3 fics I've read is more about Pepper and Tony's affect on Steve, rather than Pepper and Steve's affect on Tony.

And I think my thing is that I can see most of that happening, except for the sex. Bucky and Tony would both have sex with Steve, possibly even at the same time, but I just can't see them having sex with each other or otherwise engaging directly with each other. *shrugs*

Well, they have yet to interact in canon. Maybe the next few movies will give them some time together and a bunch of smexy fanfics will crop up.

The more I think about it the more it intrigues me.

Despite my shipping preferences, I really am curious to see how these pairings will all pan out - not after AOU, but CA3. I mean, yeah, curious as hell as to how Civil War is going to play out in the MCU, period, but given how most theories hinge on Bucky, I'm doubly curious to see if there will even be a relationship between Tony and Bucky, on-screen. In the comics, Steve basically entrusted Bucky's well-being to Tony after he died - what's going to happen here?

I was being facetious before and thinking about the kink potential. Setting that aside and being serious, it's a good question about how they'll react to one another. Tony likes to push people and Bucky doesn't seem like he'd respond well to being pushed. Just seems like there would be a personality conflict there.

Have we even gotten confirmation that Bucky'll be in CA3 and AOU?

As far as I know, they've basically established that Sebastian Stan won't be acting or appearing in AOU, but I don't even remember where I saw that so I could be wrong. Nothing about CA3, yet, but I think most people are of the "can he not appear in CA3?" mindset, at least for now. But given how Marvel has been adjusting the comic book stories for the silver screen, who the fuck knows.

And I figured you were, I was trying to return the joke, but voice and body language don't carry over the Internet and all that. I enjoy personality conflict in pairings, but in OT3s tend to take a little more stability, at least to me. I can definitely see the kink potential, I just can't...buy it, if that makes any sense at all.

I'm kinda sad to hear that, since Bucky was the part of CA2 that I liked best. (It's the puppy eyes. I'm a sucker for puppy eyes).

Curse our lack of perfect communication! And I understand. Sometimes the 'would this actually work in RL?' thoughts crowd out the thoughts of sexy men getting it on.
