Re: I ship Bucky/Tony

Except Tony was being a dick to Steve even before the scepter scene and, judging by the AOU trailer (and the fact that Civil War is happening), is still being something of a disagreeable jerk. As Steve's #1 fanboy, I doubt Bucky would give Tony the time of day. Buck doesn't even have anything to do with him in the comics IIRC.

No one said anything about the scepter. There doesn't need to be any sort of arcane influence for two people with very different personalities to not get along, and there's no indication that Bucky's so attached to Steve's hip that he's incapable of being civil to anyone who doesn't want to be Steve's bestest buddy. He steps up and defends Steve in the alley, yeah, but that's an entirely different situation. The dude in the alley was trying to cave his friend's head in; Tony was being snarky. Pretty mildly snarky - no more so than he is to his actual friends - until the scepter scene, as a matter of fact.

I don't ship Bucky/Tony - I don't ship Bucky/Anyone because Bucky's more plot device than character in TWS - I just think it's ridiculous to suggest that two grown adults bickering and then getting the fuck over themselves and working together is reasonable cause for the friends of one of said grown adults to hate the other party. Anyone who reacts that badly to reciprocated bickering with one of their friends is half a step away from bunny boiling stalker crazy.
