Huh. You learn something new every day!

I'm from the UK, and lamb's one of the basic meats over here. Of course there are also sheep everywhere.

It's all about what's available I guess. :) I live where it gets rural if you drive a bit and I've seen a sheep pasture here and there but really, it's all about cow here, cow and pig. I've eaten lamb maybe twice, and both times I mistook it for something else - the first time I thought it was undercooked turkey and the second, I thought it was badly cooked beef. Both times was when I traveled out of the area. I'm very provincial, I'm afraid.
