I really only dig Nat/Clint and Nat/Sam so far (though I think I could be convinced of other ships, maybe Nat/Bruce for instance), and I'd be perfectly fine with Nat not getting paired up in the films, but I see where people get it from. It is canon for the comics and all.

I don't really ship Nat with anyone except sort of with Clint, but I read a really good Nat/Bruce fic a while ago that I enjoyed. You may have already read it, but I can link it to you if you want.

(I'd honestly just as soon Nat not get paired up in the films, unless a lot of thought it put into the relationship, and since it's MCU I'd rather they worry about plot and individual characters and action rather than romance anyway)

I actually haven't read much MCU fic in general (except Steve/Bucky) so no, I haven't! I would be willing to give it a shot if you still have the link!

(Same. I do think they could make Nat/Clint work, rather easily even, but if they aren't going to put a lot of effort into it I would rather they just leave them as friends. I tend to like all the MCU canon pairings, but not everyone needs to be paired up.)

Ooo, thanks for finding it! I'm looking forward to reading it.

Aren't they kind of setting her up to get paired with Clint?

Or even having already been paired with him. Apparently, she's wearing an arrow necklace in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (I didn't notice it, but had it pointed out to me).

She was definitely wearing an arrow necklace in Cap 2, you could see it in the scene when they are at Sam's house and she and Steve have their "would you trust me to save your life?" talk. I may or may not have made an undignified sound when I saw the necklace.

Nat/Clint is a ship I wouldn't mind happening in the MCU, as I have not interest in reading fics about that pairing, so canon would be my only way to see them happen. Leaving them as platonic lifepartners would work for me as well, though.

She was! That picture was floating around before the movie was even released, haha. It was a cute necklace, too. (My friend bought me a similar one!)

But imo at this point it isn't anything solid, more of a nod to the possibility. It might very well be addressed in AOU, but until then I wouldn't call it a certainty.
