I dunno, has there been anything in Korra that says she's the mother of his children? They're teenagers and having them break-up due to the pressures of cleaning up the war and running the Fire Nation would be a realistic detail.

They actually did break up in one of the sequel comics but there are hints that they just needed a break from each other. Currently it's still up in the air.

I wouldn't mind knowing, but I'm not waiting for it. Honestly I'm just really happy she ended up a sassy old lady, who's still a 100 percent Toph. Anything else is a bonus, but she's the best of the old gaang cameo's as far as I'm concerned.

I actually have a question about the Tokka shippers that want Toph's kids to be Sokka's. If that was true, wouldn't it make Lin Beifong and Tenzin's relationship cousin incest?

Su and Lin are half-sisters, so if Su was was Sokka's daughter then Lin/Tenzin wouldn't technically be incest...slightly awkward, maybe, but not incest (I think they mention that they didn't know their fathers though, so I guess Lin wouldn't have thought it was awkward)

Sure, but cousins gettin' it on was not actually a problem for most of the world for most of human history. (Some North American examples: Alcott's "Rose" series set in the 1870s and LM Montgomery's Emily series, set in an AU version of the early 1900s where WWI never happened.) Is there really any reason for it to be a problem on the show beyond the fact that you think it's icky?

I don't care either, and all it does is make me extra glad I wasn't in ATLA fandom (unless I'm watching fans go nuts, the serious shipping talk about what is canon or not would bore me to death).

Also, I liked that Su and Lin are half-sisters, but that who their dad is is irrelevant given that Toph likely single mommed them anyway.

Well, there was that Korra staffmember (high-ranking guy, too) who said Lin's father was Azula (http://cbheck.tumblr.com/post/23051299629/so-im-going-to-ask-this-who-is-lins-daddy).

I think Mike and Bryan also said something about Toph and Azula being similar, compatible, or some other favorable phrasing in the DVD commentary of the eclipse episode (sorry, it's been a while; citation welcome if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can provide more accurate transcripts). I don't think anyone else was mentioned as a candidate for Lin's father, jokingly or seriously, only Azula!

Su? No idea. Nothing's been said on that one, jokingly or seriously.

day late and a dollar short, but...

I really hope both Lin and Su were products of one-night-stands. At least with Su we can be relatively sure whoever the father was, was not someone Toph hung around with enough for Lin (who was like five? six? when Su was born) to remember or ask about since it's been established that neither of them know who either father is. Just that they're different men.

Hell, I hope Toph screwed half of Republic City just because she could.
