She's dating a man who was convicted of sexually abusing one of her daughters (he went to jail for around 10 years because of it). TLC pretty much immediately cancelled their show because of it. Apparently, she may be having a dispute with child protective services because of it and there are unconfirmed rumors that she has let the boyfriend be around her daughters unsupervised (I really hope that isn't true, although I wouldn't be terribly surprised). The whole thing has also caused a feud between "Pumpkin" and Anna (both are Mama June's children and the latter was the one abused by the boyfriend) because Anna claims that Pumpkin believes the sex offender is her father and is defending her mother's relationship with him which, understandably, has been very hurtful for Anna. The whole affair has been both very dramatic and very sad.

Damn, hadn't a clue.

I'm not really fond of how people used the show as a point and look at these dumb rednecks sort of thing and was going off of that (and had seen something similar to this a year or so back, presumably before all of this came to light), but I can understand the reaction after all of this came out.
