Yes, that's the main thing. You explained it very well above. There were some other clumsy things (small things, like the one about Kidman's design where they said "in the end we chose that design because you can see when she gets injured so well" - which isn't that bad in itself but still sounds strange. And the comment about Ruvik and his sister. I was hoping for a single sibling relationship without the incest vibes for once so I don't know if that small side remark should be taken seriously or is just speculation by the designer.)

Considering the book got Sebastian's backstory wrong, I wouldn't take anything it says to be canon. My take on Ruben and Laura was that they were very sheltered and probably had a "we only have each other" vibe going, but he was only 10, so it seems a little much to label it incest.

Yeah, I've grown accustomed to ignoring things like that, especially since the info in the books directly contradicted in-game info. Since the game is the finished product, I would always consider in-game info as the one that counts and interpret the rest the way I like and not based on some designer musings. But that's what annoyed me - not that the designer thought these things but that someone thought it was a good idea to put these things in the book, along with the incorrect backstories, and nobody bothered to double check it.
