Wasn't aware the JP fandom had a big enough fandom to have...."purists". That being said, I liked the other JP movies (though I don't remember them all that well) and am really looking forward to Jurassic World. I wonder if it will have more stegosauruses (aka the BEST dinosaur).

I think Lost World was the last one I saw, when I was a kid being disappointed in the theatre about it. I will still watch just for the theme music though. No care here about books or previous happy movie watching being tainted.

I know some people irl who are iffy over the 3rd movie but I didn't know there was an online fandom for it, but eh I'm here for more dinosaurs on my movie screen.

While liking the second or third ones might not be a popular opinion, I don't think there's anything wrong with them. I watch all three movies all the time and I can't wait for Jurassic World.
