Okay, not as good as if it was QAF, but still lolling @ first reply

Well, if they're both gay, fine.

But it's a fandom secret, and without reference, I think my reply was entirely reasonable.

I think it was reasonable too. Just because women have to put up with male-oriented delusional fantasies about how female characters are constantly "asking for it" doesn't mean anything's evened out by women slashing the male ones insistently.

It would be nice if we could all share the planet without our sexual preferences/fantasies clashing, but it's not always possible.

Don't get defensive. They're just saying it made them laugh.

I think what you called it was more eyebrow worthy than anything else.

To be fair, both men would still have to be gay, or at least one of them gay like Gillen's QAF character who could turn a man at 20 paces.

Damnit I loved that series. So extravagantly exuberant.

So it's from a crime procedural? I'll pass then.

And even then, you know, just because two guys are gay and interact with each other, doesn't mean they had sex. In fact, it's pretty offensive and stereotypical to assume so.

But the main plot point of Gillen's character in QAF was that he had sex with literally every man he knew apart from his one best friend?

That's what everyone's referring to, so cool your horses.

Having actually seen it, I get the feeling that Hendricks (Gillen) was kind of in love with Thorne (Morrissey) in the past, and because of that, he did some things for Thorne that he really regrets. And having done that, is still close to him but is no longer able to (romantically) love Thorne.

However, I can also very easily see it being interpreted that they were lovers in the past.
