Nah, humanity can be pretty amazing, and we're slowly working our way towards something pretty incredible. Wish I could see where we are in a hundred years or so.

The only things you ened up getting burnt out on is overreactions to every bad piece of news that doesn't personally effect you. That doesn't mean you stop caring about it in an ethical sense though.
