There was lots of Doctor/Master slash, but I never found any I really liked, even the ones that came highly recommended. I like my writing unornamented and direct, and I think a lot of ficcers tried to imitate the sometimes convoluted philosophical dialogue style of the Doctor, even when he wasn't talking.

That's why I'm hoping that this reinvigorates the pairing. New writers will bring new styles of prose. Not that the plotlines of Who have got any simpler; in fact, the contrary.

I see the kiss as the culmination of the extended flirting laid down by John Simm's Master. That way I get to have my cake and eat it as well.

Michelle Gomez was just fantastic. Her best role yet.

I never read much Doctor/Master, but I know there was one series I genuinely enjoyed. Wish I still had it bookmarked. Too bad you never found anything you liked! Still, like you said, this will probably revitalize the fanbase so maybe something will eventually catch your interest. (When it does you should start a thread in GC and link it...because I want to read, too!)

There was a lot of flirting going on in John Simm's era. I loved it. I'll never get tired of the Master flirting with the Doctor, no matter the body or gender.

I'm not familiar with the actress outside DW, but IA, she made the role her own in the brief time she had it.

Pretty sure the blue flash of light means she teleported out of there instead of dying. Missy/Master will be back.

I have no doubt that Missy/Master will be back, but I thought the flash of blue was supposed to be the Cyberman shooting her? Granted, this is DW so...they'll find a way around that death, but that's what I thought, anyway.

Latem but I think it was this one! http://dwseason4.livejournal.com/ I'm not sure (and haven't even found Doctor/Master anywhere on the page yet), but...it might be?

I just remember that the Master survived The Last of the Time Lords and the two traveled together (well, not that the Master had much say in the matter at first, but still). Also, their relationship was fucked up and sexy and magical. Specifics...I'm not sure of. It's been so long.

Aww, shoot. Now you've got me remembering a post TLotTL one where the Master convinces the Doctor to found a new Gallifrey, and then Jack is there as well, and the Master seems to be getting along but really he's planting a Master control switch of the genetic code of everything he and the Doctor are building, and then the Master attempts a coup, but then SHIT GETS REAL, and the Doctor dies/almost dies/partial dies? And the the Master freaks the fuck out...

And yeah, can't remember for the life of me what the name was now. *shakes fist at sky*
