If her position is "there is sexism in video games," and there is sexism in video games, then the fact that she might be a scam artist wouldn't make her wrong on that point. And that's what people are trying to point out to you kids. You can attack her as a person, and you can attack her position. But attacking her as a person doesn't discredit her position, and attacking her position doesn't discredit her as a person. They're two separate things.

no one is saying that death/rape threats are wrong. absolutely no one.

what we're talking about anita's character and the reasons why people, including me, are criticizing her. "two wrongs don't make a right" is in reference to the fact that she's stealing art, game play, lying about actually playing (otherwise, we'll have a more in-depth discussion instead of "look at how sexist it is! look at it!!" bullshit) and passing herself off as someone who has all the answers.... that's the wrong part.

there is sexism in video games and it NEEDS to be addressed but anita is not equipped with that responsibility since she can't even properly do research on the subject itself.

This criticism would come out a lot better if it wasn't full of reaching about her, personally. Just try splitting the whole thing into one paragraph about why her personality bothers you (or two or three, I guess there's some material), and then a few more about what part of her work bugs you.

PS: LPs are a dirty swamp of often advertorial content with zero accountability. I really wish she'd never touched that particular stain upon the earth, because now I have to hear whaa whaa about LPs every time someone wants to discuss her super-weird feminism constructively.

believe me - i have.

i'm really uncomfortable with her saying "violence against women in video games is proven to make men into domestic abusers" which is very awful to say since it's been proven MULTIPLE times that violence in video games does not cause violent people.

not only is it very wrong, but it's also re-opening those wounds that people have been trying to say for YEARS to get violent video games (or, really, games THEY THEMSELVES don't approve of) to get banned. and then there's the fact that - A LOT OF WOMEN ARE PLAYING THESE GAMES AS WELL. does she include them in that statement?

a lot of her criticism is also very racist because japanese feminism is not the same as western. she's putting the likes of bayonetta under a western microscope which is wrong in itself - especially since the very japanese, and very biologically female, creator said herself how empowering bayonetta is.

and i enjoy watching LPs because i can't afford the game system & the actual game.
