I feel like the solution is more female commenters on games and gaming culture. Sarkeesian gets notice for rarity value, and she'd be less noticed with decent competition who disagreed with her on some things.

the problem with that - people LIKE anita and especially those who agree with her, dismiss the female gamers and their comments about the way she's presenting it (see: this entire fucking thread)

did you even read the thread? there's plenty of female gamers commenting and criticizing sexist aspects in gaming and people agreeing with them.

examples since you apparently can't read: ariakas' comment over metro: last light and the discussion over kingdom hearts.
