Why? The world is more peaceful than it's been in human history, and crime rates are at record lows. In most developed nations, all people all considered equal in the eyes of the law and are free to pursue whatever and whoever they love. New cures, new technologies, and innovations to improve our lives are discovered every day.

There's still a ways to go, but things just keep getting better.
