Re: 4

Muhahaha, I'm sure I'll find some way to watch it.

Oh I know what you mean, I have so much love for that movie. You cannot watch it enough times. Time is a pretzel. And maybe Leopold's are only available in NYC? D: Everything cool is there apparently! It's 'cause they have Broadway. And uh. The Empire State Building, yeah. I like Seattle better, it's closer and they have coffee. =/

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
bua ha ha ha. Excellent. NYC is just a few short bus rides away for me. I better start packing. A Leopold > an education. Psh. Please. I need to rewatch that movie. But maybe not, because I seem to remember a part where jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge meant you got to go through a wormhole in time and love up Hugh Jackman in period clothes. And... uh... I just don't need that idea put in my head, thanks.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh yes I can see your problem there. If only fiction was nonfiction and you really cold jump off the bridge and meet your Leopold~

I also love how this movie hasn't been plagued by a sequel like everything else is. Gyaah.

Hugh Jackman, hurry up and do more movies that make you dress up in period clothes so my heart can go all "aflutter" some more.

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
X-Men 3? Screw that! We need more Leopold action! Or at least a spin-off, with another tasty man someplace! Cuz, uh, that'd be okay too. eheheheh.

Figures it's the good stuff that isn't wrung dry. Gah. I shakes my fist at you, Hollywood.

And Jackman, stop dicking around with crap like "Viva Laughlin" and be serious! Well, sort of.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hollywood is screwy in the head. And blah, that Viva Laughlin thing. @.@ I tried watching that just for him and I couldn't even watch the first episode. The show annoyed me so much I wasn't patient enough to watch it just to hear him sing. *diiies*

I don't know how well the show is doing but I sort of hope no one watches it so it can get canceled and Jackman can do something much more meaningful. Like uuuuuh... Yeah, a Leopold spin-off sounds good. 8D;

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
ahaha, I didn't even try! I heard the source show was much better, and it sounds like a cute idea, so maybe I'll watch that. But even my love for him couldn't make me watch that show. heheh. But it probably will get cancelled soon. i don't think there's anyone watching it.

Have you ever read 'maggie needs an alibi'? It has period men jumping through time, and is an excellent fluff mystery too. I loves it. I move there should be a movie adaptation. Right friggin now.

ROBIN HOOD ICON. I love you. Just sos you know.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hahahahaha, yeah, it really wasn't worth it, it was quite tragic.

Oh wow, no, but now I really want to. *dies* I just read up on it on Amazon and my library has it so I'll try and check it out when I can now, woo! It sounds like there really should be a movie adaptation, pronto.

♥♥ :D;; Robin Hood is awesomesauce OMG. Although the Disney thing isn't the best thing in the universe it's a FOX so it's okay. But I have so much love for Robin Hood geeeez. dfasfdd

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
well jesus, what are you waiting for? Go to the library RIGHT NOW. You can wait until they open. It'll only be a few hours, right? Psh. It's such a fun book. I think there's a sequel too, though I haven't read it. So it's all that Kate and Leopold never was! yessss!

I have such a friggin' Robin Hood complex. I think because I was so addicted to the Disney cartoon as a little kid. I really want to see the BBC Robin Hood that's airing now! It sounds AMAZING! And the extremely gorgeous man from North and South is one of the villains. Guh. Sign me up for that party.

Whoever doesn't love Robin Hood doesn't love life. This is a fact.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Hahahaa well actually my library has a weird system that lets you get books from all around the county, so I'd have to wait for the book to come in since it's in a town, like, an hour away from me. Waaah~~ And wow, a book sequel might be alright, because book sequels aren't made by the mad people in Hollywood.

Oh man, totally agree. And asdfszdgfsdf You don't have BBC? ;__; That's so tragic! Well okay I have the American one so it's not like I'm up-to-date with the people in the UK. I was all excited for the Robin Hood series but aaah it was so slow for me, which is sad since it makes me sound impatient but Robin wasn't Robin-y enough and Marian was just annoying, waaah. D: I did like the villains though, heh. ^^; Not surprising a guy from North and South is a villain then, eeh?

I have yet to meet someone who disliked the subject of Robin Hood, but if I ever did I'm not sure I could talk to them. D:

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds kind of bizarre and annoying. Wow. Way to make the simple process of getting a book a hell of a lot more complicated, public officials. No points. Though I guess it does mean you have access to more books. But still! This is America! Where is my instant gratification, hmm? Book sequels are usually a safer bet. I'm just lazy and haven't gotten to it yet, hurr hurr hurr.

I have BBC America, which is AWESOME cuz I get Torchwood and Doctor Who and all the British dramas and comedies so I can just gorge myself on english culture and entertainment, but everything does get shown a season behind where it is in the UK. But I have Netflix, so it's all good.

YES YES YES! Richard Armitage plays Guy of Gisbourne. gaaaaah I really want to see him be evil. I've heard he was amazing. I'm a little worried about the show, because in some of the trailers the dialogue just looks really, really lame, but then I remember that it's Robin Hood, and so it doesn't matter how bad the writing is. Cuz it's Robin Hood.

Robin Hood haters are obviously Philistines, and all live in caves. Because they're fools.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
It has it's plus and minuses. I mean, the access to books is nice but the book you want is never there I sweeeeeear so you have to wait on it. Yay for Internet.

OMG Torchwood. I like Doctor Who but I don't watch it as much, it's more of a, "Hey, what should I watch... HEY Doctor Who is on, let's watch that!" kinda thing. But I loooove Torchwood. Though I seriously don't get what those two shows have in common with one another save for the fact Doctor knows the... American guy. Yeah. I never know his name, wow. Oh, and Doctor Who makes random Torchwood references too, I notice that when I watch it. *loser*

I don't have Netflix though because my parents don't understand teh magickal wonders of ze Internetz so uh yeah.

Aaaaah yes, that guy. And yes the dialogue was a bit lame but uuuuh Robin's arrow effects were so cheesy (not cheesy like poorly done but cheesy like they defy gravity) which made me LOLZ a lot. And the guy is cute. Fan service!

No one talks to people who live in caves, they're smelly. :B

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
it is the same for me! I think Torchwood is just the best thing ever, and Doctor Who is cool, but... eh. TORCHWOOD. I don't like the current Doctor, either. He's too twitchy, and watching him spasm his way through an episode makes me tired. And how do you forget the name JACK? It's JACK!

Nah, I don't know what they have in common either. Just aliens, I guess. Any British show that comes out has to be tied into Doctor Who somehow to be successful. I've read way too many things about Robin Hood that called it the next Doctor Who. Ummm... hello? Where do you get this from? Time travel and aliens, crusaders and vigilantes with arrows. Sure. Exactly the same. I think it's all a marketing scheme, and Torchwood has NOTHING to do with Doctor Who. 'Cept Jack. Who's just magic.

Netflix is made of magic and love and has changed my life and made me a better person. This is absolutely true and you should tell your parents this. It is MAGICAL.

Oh crap. However bad he is in Robin Hood, don't let that turn you off North and South. Cuz that sort of is what it sounds like. He's amazing in that miniseries, but the writing was really good for it. When in doubt, BLAME THE WRITERS. ahahahaha.

Psh. I can put up with some bad writing if there is cute guy in it for me. Because I am a shallow teenaged girl, yes I am, and I have NO SHAME! eheheheh.

Eeew cave peoples. How I hate them and their stinky ways.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
JACK OMG yes that sounds right why don't I ever remember this name? I remember all the other main characters names except that one guy. That one quiet guy. That one not-Owen guy. That quiet not-Owen guy should do more, I have decided.

And the new Doctor Who IS twitchy, your right. Huh. And I did notice that with the Robin Hood show, which made me kinda go O.o;;; at the television screen. Oh, Britain. Not everything revolves around Monty Python and Doctor Who--which are both great, mind you, but still.

Ahaha, if only they believed. If I whine enough they'll take me to Hollywood video. "But Mommy, don't you know that when you say you don't believe in Netflix magic someone loses their movie in the mail?!" D:

Don't worry, I won't. ♥ Writing is the heart and soul in EVERYTHING kthx. Indeed, when in doubt blame the writers. It works for the Harry Potter films... usually.

Cute guys are part of the reason I enjoy soccer. Shame I never know what channel to watch that on. >__>;; Who needs football when you have SOCCER. With CUTE GUYS. Eeeee!

Blah, no one needs those weird cave people who don't appreciate the genius that is Robin Hood, period films, and other such things.

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
ahahahahaha there you go! And the other guy is Ianto, but I only remember his name because I spend a good half of every episode trying to figure out how he got to be named Ianto when he is the most Caucasian/Welsh man on that show. But he should do more. He does too much crying, and not enough asskicking. This should be changed.

They were great shows! But they aren't the ONLY good shows that're allowed to come out of your country! It's not like you have a quota or something. So stop pretending our medieval vigilantes are exactly omg just like your time-travelling aliens, because you're only going to embarrass yourself.

I do believe in Netflix! I do! I do!

I always blame the HP writers. And when I get tired of that, I blame the chick who plays Hermione and the ham who plays Dumbledore. Oh ho ho ho. Really, they make it too easy. Poor writers. They didn't ask to get roped into this project. And yet when something's good, do the writers get any credit? Absotutely not. Poot things. No wonder they get so downhearted and write crappy dialogue. They probably can't help themselves.

gah soccer guys are... buh... meh... wow. I love soccer. I love soccer. Heh heh heh. The men are so much prettier there than in any other sport. This is just fact. But yeah, i don't know how to watch games either. T__T curse you, hard-to-find soccer channels! WHY MUST YOU HIDE FROM ME? Don't you know I need my hot man fix?

These cave people obviously would rather sit around smashing beer cans into their heads and watching stupid TV. They only really enjoy reality tv. gah. Monsters.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-24 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
...OMG Inato is a weird name no wonder I never remember it. *dies* I'm dreadful with names. Maybe his parents wanted someone unique for a name? He really should get out more and do happy things though.

...Robin Hood with time traveling aliens would be slightly interesting. As long as it somehow managed to magically stay medieval and he still got to kick ass and use a bow and arrow though, because that is what makes Robin Hood... Robin Hood. ♥

Totally! Netflix has magical fairy dust too, because how else do the movies come to you so fast? >__>;;

asfdasgf Hermione in the movie does bug me! And the new Dumbledore, blah. D: Not that the first one was OMG PERFECT but I don't like the new Dumbledore. Oh well, the movie is only good for a visual representation and to occasionally show cute guys like that Matthew kid who plays Neville and the other dude who did Oliver Wood. Both are made of win in my book. And I suspect that's how the writers feel, espeically with television show writing. It's all about how brilliant the actors are, but what about their witty dialogue? They just give up and write crap down, poor things indeed.

Soccor is totally awesome. I got all mad because at Applebee's they were playing a soccor game and I was like, "OMG Yeeees!" and then it switched over to race car driving. In France. Where it was raining so they couldn't even do any driving so they just bitched about how they couldn't race today and talked so some silly French people because French people tend to be silly--and it's not offensive for me to say this because I'm mostly French, harhar. French Canadian, in fact, so obviously I get even more of an excuse to laugh at my own kind.

Argh, cave people. Reality TV and crappy Hollywood movies is all they watch. D: I bet they're haaaaairy too, the buggers.

And OMG you're so awesome can I friend you? :D;; ♥;;

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-26 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think happy things work out well for Ianto. I distinctly remember one episode where they went into the country to do happy things and then almost got eated by inbred country folk. Ianto especially came very close, because all he does is cry. Though I think he did almost save Tosh, which was kind of cool, actually. Still, boy definitely needs to get out more. and stop with the crying.

It would be a HILARIOUS crossover. Mainly for the reactions. "HOLY SHIT A GIANT BLUE BOX MAKING FUNNY NOISES?!?! OH, HOW IT HURTS MY PRETTY, VIGILANTE HEAD!" heehehehehe.

Netflix is obviously run by elves and fairies. I'm surprised sparkles don't gush out of the envelope every time you open one. They're that magical. This is the truth.

Harry Potter is 100% for the cute boys at this point. Though if they keep getting killed off and/or written out of the story I will be upset. I like the Neville guy. Mainly cuz he's Neville. D'aww, Neville... But yeah, Hermione and Dumbledore can go play chicken on the railroad tracks for all I care. They drive me nuts.

I guess if I was a writer, I would want to lash out with some bad banter too. Poor ducks. They just can't help themselves. *sigh*

Racecars are silly. Driving around at high speeds in a circle? Yeah, that's a sport. Jeebus. plus, there're no hotties in it ahahaha! woah! French Canadian? That just opens up a whole world of mocking possibilities for you. I'm Irish American, which isn't all that useful. I generally just use it to explain away my stupid personality quirks. It's a pretty good catch-all.

haaaaairy and with badly done spray-on tans. NOT A NICE COMBO.

PLEEZ DO! Cuz you're awesome too! yaaay!

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow, you know inbred people don't bother me so much in movies because it's been done to death but I actually found that episode really scary. Go figure. And I don't get that scared easily. D: But yes, Ianto should stop with the crying bit. Go out and get drunk one night and be haaaappy. Or just get a vacation. Or a non-robotic girlfriend.

See, if they did THAT crossover then BBC could advertise Robin Hood as being like Dr. Who, silly British.

Perhaps because Netflix is run by elves and fairies they are rather discreet with their magic so you don't actually get sparkles. Although the magic is there. Believers can just tell it's there.

Neville is awesome anyway, and the fact that he is just utterly adorable in the movies makes you love him even more. Whoever they cast as Tom Riddle better be hot. He wasn't hot enough in my book in that Chamber of Secrets movie. D: Neville should just smite movie!Hermione and movie!Dumbledore with his kick ass sword welding skills so we don't have to deal with them ever again.

Blah, race cars are just silly. Sports involve athletic exercise, you silly people~~ Oooh and hey, I have Irish too! :D Just uh not as much as French Canadian. And German. Actually, my top three nationalities probably go to French Canadian, German, and Irish or Scottish. My dad hogs all the French and some British while my mom is all Yay, Scandinavian countries and Ireland and Scotland! Oh, America~~

Oh gosh, spray-on tans? I don't even want to think about it. THE MENTAL IMAGE. IT BURNS. BUUUURNS.

Yaaaay! We're both awesome. ♥

Re: 4

[identity profile] slylilgoblin.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
gah. meh. buh. Yes that episode was utterly terrifying. Gah. And disturbing. I mean, damn.

Ianto needs a girl only made of flesh. That should be the first step. Then he needs to leave the HQ once in a while on a non-Torchwood activity that is preferably without anyone from Torchwood, except Tosh. Who I loves.

Bah ha ha ha. I want to see Neville do some smiting of the OOC movie atrocities! It would be AWESOME!

fantastic! You've got the whole continent covered, almost. I'm pretty limited Irish and American, since my Dad's side of the family has no roots anymore, really. Eh... English, Scottish, Native American, maybe. But I just think by now it's American.

Re: 4

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
It was creepy and disturbing and all those other synonyms. D:

He really really does need to do non-Torchwood stuff, the exception of course being Toshiko because I also adore her. I decided Tosh can get paired up with anyone and I'd be happy. But preferably Inato since he needs a fleshy girlfriend kthx.

It WOULD be awesome, but Neville is naturally made of awesome. ♥

Ah, well, we're all American in the end. (People in America, anyway). And I think I have some Native America in here somewhere. D: But not enough to be important, of course. :B
