So they finally stopped making Sami date her rapist? Thank fuck. Thank a thousand fucks. I'm hot saying that just because they broke up Lucas and Sami, but after the coerced car sex, it ruined any possibility of EJ/Sami for me.

Yes, finally - though they only did it when Alison Sweeney and James Scott both left the show within the same month. All I can say is I'm glad it's over, and I hope those assholes who have been rape apologists (one of which told me that I couldn't judge the pairing because my views were biased due to me being a rape survivor - smh) who keep claiming they're going to stop watching and commenting on the show do just that. The fandom was nice before they came along, even at the height of some of the more active shipping wars (using ones involving Bo/Hope and John/Marlena) it was still a pretty chill fandom overall (with many fanbases getting along even if they had competing ships - Lucas/Sami and Brandon/Sami fans come to mind, as well as Nicole/Brady and Chloe/Brady fans).

You can't judge a pairing that had rape because you were a rape survivor? WTF? Sure, it leaves you with a dirty lens but it doesn't make a rape pairing any less fucked up, and you sure as hell can voice your opinion on it. It's one thing to enjoy a pairing and acknowledge that it's unhealthy, or that at least some aspects of it are, but justifying a gross act because it gets in the way of their tru wuv is just dumb.

Oh man, I remember the ugliness that exploded years ago when EJ did rape Sami, from both EJ/Sami shippers and Lucas/Sami shippers alike. The weird thing is, I don't mind EJ being redeemed, but I just didn't think (and still don't think) he should be redeemed through Sami, at least not romantically.

Yeah, they killed EJ off and Sami moved with her kids (except for Will, who's been aged up into an adult) to California.
