Not that person you replied to, but most of their moments include Sasuke ignoring, insulting, or trying to kill Sakura. Sasuke never spared a thought on her outside the context of Team 7 and Sakura never had an effect on him through the entirety of part two. You can't even say Sasuke was 'tsundere' towards her because he openly admits that Naruto is his best friend and that killing him would make him feel alone.

Then there is the fact she worked her ass off for years to help bring Sasuke back and then had absolutely nothing to do with his redemption. Naruto is the only one who had an effect on him and then redeemed him. It makes Sasuke's bond with Sakura (and Kakashi) seem extremely weak and unimportant in comparison.

It's okay for Naruto and Sakura to forgive Sasuke, but he didn't have to end up with anybody. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth to see Sakura treated so badly and then ending up with him. Maybe it's cultural differences and Japan sees this as acceptable, but there is a reason people who have been in abusive relationships cringe at this ship. One moment of niceness doesn't erase the bad things.

Though all the other pairs were neglected in the manga none of them are as offensive as SasuSaku. Naruto is a good influence on Hinata and he never treated her badly. And ShikaTema have good mutual respect for each other.

You pretty much explained why I never really liked the pairing. It felt pretty one-sided most of the time and never made me think that they would be really good together. I enjoyed seeing NaruHina in the epilogue (though I wonder why none of her kids inherited her eyes) and it was pretty funny seeing Ino end up with Sasuke's replacement.

Mmmnooo I have to disagree with you on this.

-Sasuke notices she's off before the exams and goes out of his way to compliment her. Then smiles when she does.
-He waits and listens to her every time she confesses. Even during the last confession in 693.
-He flipped out on some sound nin under the curse seal because he saw she was beat up. Naruto didn't even notice her bruises/fucked up appearance.
-He stabbed himself in the leg with a kunai to break himself out of Orochimaru's hold to save Sakura
-He jumps in front of her when she was being targeted by those two ninjas during the bridge arc
-When he's suffering under the curse seal he grabs her hand and leans on her
-When Gaara was being a prick he told Naruto to save Sakura/He catches her when she's falling and gives her to one of Kakashi's dogs/tells him to take care of her
-He singles her out when she was going to tell the judge that he was under the curse seal-"Even if it's you I won't forgive you"
-He teleports behind her when she's going to pass out from exhaustion in 685 and holds her up
-He looks to see her and Kakashi are safe before taking Naruto off to fight Kaguya
-She's the only non-family female he lets hug him without being disgusted
-He tells Naruto he purposely acted like a prick to make everyone hate him so they wouldn't have a reason to hate each other.

Oh wow, Sasuke sometimes made the effort to remember she exists 12 times (even listening to her one time, no less!) in the entire 700 chapter series. Sasusaku is truly a healthy and beautifully developed pairing after all.

Butthurt Narusaku fan. I bet you thought it was cute, instead of skeevy as fuck, that Naruto pretended to be Sasuke to steal a kiss from Sakura. And oh, wouldn't it have been romantic if Sakura was forced to be with a guy she didn't love, just because he was a NiceGuy who was Nice to her. Because you should always be rewarded for treating friends the way you should be treating them anyway.

Most if not all of those instances fall within "the context of Team 7" though, which ayrt specifically singled out as being non-noteworthy. He never paid attention to her when it actually mattered, and she had no significant effect on him in the second part of the series, that much is undeniable.

Sasuke has been, and always will be, toxic to Sakura's entire character and she deserves so much better than that.
