A knee pillow, a heating pad, a dachshund and two chihuahua/dachshund mixes, who all function as living teddy bears/footwarmers. Sometimes my kitty Max joins in if he can beat the dogs to the exposed half of the heating pad. It's a great system except when Sokka (the dachshund) and Jig (the Ren to his brother Pippin's Stimpy) randomly try to smother me with their necks. Or when any of the dogs wake me up with their horrible sewage-flavored kisses right up my nose. Or when Pippin manages to once again step directly on the side of my nipple as he's coming in for a cuddle. Or Max decides that my feet are toys. Or all of the dogs hear a noise outside and trample me in their quest to run to the door and bark until I let them out so that they can go outside and bark at it even more. Because if they don't bark at it, it'll get away, and if it gets away, they won't be able to bark at it! Oh, no!

...Huh. Y'know, I think I'm beginning to understand why I have so much trouble sleeping.
