Might I recommend the SCP Foundation for written horror? /can't think of anything else right now

I am all over the SCP Foundation. I've been browsing the No Sleep subreddit right now. It can be pretty hit and miss.

I've read things that passed through my dash and I've found much the same. There are a lot of horror tropes that I just hate, and they tend to be really prominent in these sorts of things. So yeah, I feel your pain there.
