Re: what is the point of adaptations that don't change up the source material a lot

I think the Japanese version and the originally aired version were 54 episodes but they cut out a lot when they released it to DVD. I just remember it being more accurate as a child (it aired when I was 4-6ish) because it included the part of the Good Witch of the South and the China Dolls, that they used in that terrible Oz the Great and Powerful.

I also love Marvel's comic series for also including some of the later books.
