Re: what is the point of adaptations that don't change up the source material a lot

which animated movie? Is she blonde in it? With music? I think that's also a Japanese dub. I watched it on USA/TNT when I was a child, maybe 8 or 9 if we're thinking of the same animated one.

I'm a huge fan of the movie for collector purposes. But I have so many knick knacks of the books. I didn't like the make it all a dream thing either. And I dislike the new Oz the Great and Powerful.

I do like rewatching Return to Oz for the same reason.

Sidenote: Did you know Barnes and Noble released new editions of the first ten books? They are in a two book set so far. I found the first one on amazon.
