ODD is a rich, bored, white, stay at home mom crock of bullshit. It starts with the rich white people and works its way down so every be kid gets diagnosed with it. It's a way for bad parenting decisions to hide behind bullshit made up disorders. I dealt with those mothers for too long. Trying to tell me how to do my job and also put little braeyddyn on a fucking pedestal.

One kid had it and they not only put the kid in the gifted program, they also looked everywhere other way when he destroyed school property, bullied other kids, threatened to run away and kill himself multiple times, and ultimately rewarded him by making him safety patrol because he went a whole month without destroying anything.
The principal gave him Christmas gifts and called herself his mentor.

Meanwhile the actual gifted kids, the kids who stayed out of trouble and made good grades to earn their safety patrol spot, those kids came to everyone else like, "what the fuck."

This was a public school in a very affluent area of equestrian palm beach. My kids are thankfully older now and not going to that school anymore, but seriously. The fuck. Giving a shitty kid with shitty parents all the special treatment in the world for being an asshole with a made up "disorder."

You sound woefully young and completely unaware of even the most basic ways to function in the real world. What the fuck does that have to do with politics? Assholes are assholes. Asshole kids come from asshole parents. There are real kids out there with real problems who can't get help because of assholes who insist their kids are "on the spectrum" and shop around for ONE doctor who will agree with them and then flaunt their "diagnosis" as a way to not have to discipline, leaving less affluent families struggling to find help or attention when they need it. If you don't work in a field where this happens, then STFU because you have no idea. And, for the record, I am about as left leaning as you can get.
