It is probably a good idea for fans to stop thinking of her as a perfect incarnation of all dreams, just because, you know, that's a good idea in general. But the fact that she makes money and sells things is probably not in itself a reason for that.

I mean, I get your point-- and it's better in general not to idealize someone who's a fallible human. But is it really so bad for young girls to look up to a successful woman? idk. Especially as she hasn't been afraid to grow and change her mind and admit that she was wrong.

Eh, I think there's a distinction between idealizing someone and looking up to someone. I think you can look up to someone, and even idolize them a bit, while still keeping in mind that they are a living, breathing, fallible human being. Like, you can admire Taylor Swift as a human being without thinking that she's this, you know, perfect person with a perfect lifestyle.

Honestly, that usually makes me admire people more.
