(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 01:33 am (UTC)(link)...imagine Enya, then Weird Al Yankovic, then Daft Punk, then Enigma, then The Cog is Dead, then Metallica, then David Guetta, then Steve Tyler covering Oscar the Grouch's "I Love Trash ", then Duran Duran, then Mel Blanc as Daffy Duck...
...if I bought all the music I've memorized the lyrics to, I would be so damn broke.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 02:41 am (UTC)(link)(I actually use shuffle a lot precisely because it sounds so weird. It's like my own personal eclectic radio station that no one would ever play because it'd end up starting fights and pissing someone off. Possibly OP's friends.)

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 02:48 am (UTC)(link)My dad says I have what he calls 'catholic tastes'. He's to blame for a lot of them, it has to be said. Though I listen to way more trance, electroswing, cabaret and electronica than he does. The jazz, opera, most of the rock, and a lot of the pop are his fault, the celtic and more of the rock is my mother's, the classical and the choral are my grandfather's, the odd metal songs and Korean pop I like are my sister's, though we do usually disagree when it comes to music, and the soundtracks and videogame instrumentals are my other sister's. Everything else is my own fault, and stuff I stumbled across in fanvids or linkhopping on youtube or on the radio.
Basically, I just tend to like random things, although most of the vaguely metal-related genres are outside my bailiwick.
