There are more people who would agree with you than you might think, to be honest.

IMO, the concept of Black Friday isn't bad, but... the way it's being done, especially in the last 20 years, is just over-the-top and awful on all sides. Let people enjoy their holiday. Stop forcing employees to throw away part or all of their Thanksgiving just so some shitty business can make an extra buck. It's not even about early Christmas shopping anymore. It's just consumption and greed and gullibility at their worst.

And more frightening is the fact there is more than one Black Friday in a year, several even.
