TBH, I read the comment about not being strong enough to be anorexic in a different way. I mean, I've read some books and memoirs from people who have struggled and it's a bit like there's two aspects: the disease and the behaviour... I find that my relationship with food and body image is so fucked up that there is a part of me that wishes I had that self control. It's kind of a statement of how powerful that aspect of our society is that I can have that brief moment of that thought while reading about a mental illness. We're all messed up with these things and Megan Trainor is so young and sheltered, I'm not surprised the sentiment came out superficially instead of being able to really self-examine. Her music comes across exactly that way: decent intention, but with that high school superficial mindset that could benefit from more maturity.

Thank you so much for saying this, anon. =/ I know it's wrong and awful (and as someone with other mental illness I know exactly how I'd feel if someone said they wished they were whatever enough to have what I have) but I can't help that reaction when I'm at my worst. It really blows but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way sometimes.
