I remember when I developed a hateboner for Disney/Pixar when one of their films won over Coraline a few years ago. I'm over it now and I agree it's obnoxious, but I do understand where these people are coming from. When a big studio wins year after year over the little guy, it's easy to start resenting them, even if both studios are pumping out quality films.

Tumblr does this with anything non-Disney though. Dreamworks, Sony, etc. Those companies are by no mean's little guys.

in that case you should resent the academy and etc :/ most of them don't even bother watching the movies in the animated category and just default to disney or pixar

I find it ridiculous that they even let their members vote when they haven't watched all the movies in a category, but they do
