In my fandoms the word 'problematic' is just thrown around for a negative word for something people don't like.

I've actually seen healthy mutual relationships getting called problematic for being co-dependent, and it's just ridiculous at this point.

Basically this.

It sounds so much more justified if you can find something 'problematic' to complain about rather than just admit you don't like something for what some might consider more trivial or petty reasons.
